Titel: apt-get update upgrade same time?

| Is it possible to apt-get update then apt-get upgrade on the same command line without problems developing with the upgrade. I tried it with: apt-get update | apt-get upgrade, but the upgrade took over and just came up with errors. The reason for this is that I have broken up my sources.list into different files so that I can target what I want when I want better. |

Why do an upgrade instead of just
apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade
& stay more true to Kanotix rather than all of debian sid pkgs? |
