Hi,
just about to post an appeal to include Seamonkey - then saw the "remove mozilla" thread.
Yes, do remove mozilla.
And put in Seamonkey...
because:
1. Composer I do use for quick work
2. When downloading much stuff (I do a lot of web research and take local copies) Firefox has awkward habit of re-downloading when you "Save As" (try it). This may be slow! Mozzilla didn't, Seamonkey does not. In Mozzilla & Seamonkey, "Save As" gives you the cache copy - the thing you are looking at. Fast and you get what you see.
Seamonkey is fine to use; it is updated and keeps pace with Firefox development.

PS...
Seamonkey covers the main bases, Konqueror is good anyhow. Frankly, with these in a distro you no longer need Firefox .. a space saver? |

Probably need to wait for it to be debianized. |

Just install the Mozilla Linux package, it installs with a couple of clicks and works just fine. The only drawback to Seamonkey is that you have to manually link plugins for it to use them; and creating a Kmenu entry took a couple seconds to find the bin file since its not in the normal place.
I use it mostly for chatzilla which seems to have a memory leak when using it in Firefox.
I would prefer to keep Firefox though. |

That's the most insane thing we could do and I would actively oppose that\0
Besides that there isn't much reason for seamonkey, given that firefox, several IRC clients and even thunderbird are included. |

slh,
I assist almost anything you say, but nothing can beat the mozilla-suite with the integrated composer. So I'll be swithing to Seamonkey by the time it's in Sid.
OK, I'm using Netscape/Mozilla since good ol' '95, but I still love it. Served me on all platforms without any loss of data, till I switched to KMail.

I think that a Seamonkey Debian package should have a script to set up the links for your plugins... |
