I have a minor problem. I have a jpg image that I want on my desktop. I know how to put it there, but it won't be there on the next boot-up. I'm using Kanotix32. My process is to find the image with Konqueror and left click it, click Actions, click set as background click centered. The image comes up nicely on the desk-top, but will not be there at the next boot-up. What am I doing wrong?

What I have done is to put of a copy of the image in this directory:

/usr/share/wallpaper

It should find it on reboot. I've had wallpapers filed all over the place with no problems. Is the disc where the wallpaper resides mounting correctly?

do you mean a live Kanotix CD?
If it's Kanotix installed to a HD ... have you tried right clicking on the desktop and from the menu that pops up selecting "Configure Desktop"?

Let me know how you go....

Harddrive install or Live CD
