Hi,
After some long-ago upgrade, I lost most of the modules in kcontrol. This was an annoyance, but no big deal, until the last major KDE upgrade. In order to fix the messy fonts, I need the font module (?) which has the anti-aliasing options. How can I restore all the modules which should be present in kcontrol?
Thanks! |

The embarrassing problem of 'Replaces: kdebase-data' strikes again . . . |

While waiting for replies, I searched around my Kmenu entries, and found two "Fonts" commands in my Lost & Found. One of them had the anti-aliasing option, which I used to fix the screen fonts, and everything looks OK now.
Later, I tried the first, simpler re-install in the thread, which unfortunately didn't work. The second one did work, and as a side effect, most of the stuff in Lost & Found was put back where it belongs (I think).
Thanks again! |
