          | My Kanotix installation tries to detect any available networks at startup (some DHCP stuff on the screen). I don't always have a network available and the detection takes frustratingly long when a network is not connected. Is threre a keycombination to cancel the network detection? Or do I need to disable it? How? |

          | why not set some sort of timeout? if network is not present, the script that brings up the ifaces should time out after a reasonable time if no connection active |
