          | When will we see the next Full Version of Kanotix ?
Copy Mandy and go for a Club
  Not really
 Better SuSE (before Novell)
  If possible.
 Be Kanoix and go Testing

Better still, adopt QT Model and provide both GPL and Commercial Support.

SID has had itś day now itś time to move on

          | I thought kanotix had decided to go etch ie in a few weeks, the new Stable.
Added: Whatever is chosen, I'm sure Kano will make it a great distro. Personally, I prefer the sid route.

          | Agreed, however for those of us who don´t IRC, it would be helpful to see a News Item.(Update)
And why not both: Kano (etch or whatever) and Kanosid ? Most other distro´s do the same.

Well, it requires a lot of work to 'tame' Sid, though at the moment, Sid is reliable. The fireworks in Sid are likely to appear after Etch goes stable.

Kano has already stated that he needs to base future Kanotix on a more stable base and Sid cannot provide that base without huge effort, so a Kanosid is not going to happen.

I don't want to advertise the link, but there is a sid project setup by some former kanotix devs.
This is edited from their statement:

".....is a brand-new distribution based on Debian Sid. It's made from people who love Debian Sid (Sid = the unstable branche of Debian) and who believe that Sid can be a stable OS. Right now we are working on our first release........."

          | Thanks forrr the info.
When a release is due, I would really appreciate the link.

Can´t help from a development point of view, but am willing to do User End Testing/Documentation.

 Cheers

 Homer

          | Homer I have sent you a pm with the link.
I don't want to post the link because I'm not sure if it will offend.
