Each time I turn on my computer, the numlock is not locked to numbers. Is there a way to make it default to numlock "on"? Thanks. |

You can set this in kcontrol, no other tool needed. |

Sorry, there is NO Systemsettings in the menu of Kanotix Spitfire 2016 LXDE 64 bit, only System Tools, and I can't find keyboard settings anywhere... |

Code:
apt-get install numlockx
numlockx --help
Usage: numlockx [on|off|toggle|status]
on - turns NumLock on in X ( default )
off - turns NumLock off in X
toggle - toggles the NumLock on and off in X
status - gets the NumLock status |

OK, thanks.
I thought there was a solution without installing Numlocks, like in kcontrol... |

There should be something like that in LXDE.
Maybe install more components?
Or one could always install Xfce.. |

seems you must use numlockx. If installed, is it on by default?
or maybe add it to bash profile? |
