| Basically yes, but some fixes are required. Usually it is faster to keep the home with small adjustments and reinstall. If you want to try a dist-grade use !spitfire . |

I've been using Dragonfire for a while now and also thinking of to latest stable kernel.
What would be the steps? Would there be any problems? |

| There is no real need for a new kernel with Dragonfire, your hardware must be old anyway. The current version is Spitfire (use nightly). If you ask questions kernel related post (as user): infobash -v |

It's not thaaaaaaaaaaaaaat old. 
Any backports for KDE Plasma 5.x for Kanotix?
Are the nightly versions using KDE Plasma 5.x?

| No, we have got no intentions to backport plasma 5, use an other system if you want that. We update LibreOffice mainly, partly binary drivers (fglrx is current) and have got extra repos for mesa 11 - it is not active in any nightly image yet. Also we usually have got the latest stable kernel in the repository. Install instructions for those in the IRC. There is a hidden image with mesa 11 + 4.2. Ask for link in case you own Broadwell/Skylake. |

I checked Plasma 5 and I don't like it, thus I'm sticking with Plasma 4.x
Is there a posibility to upgrade to 4.14.3, which is the lastest version of kde plasma 4? |

Used the latest nightly build x64, but was lagging, plus had some driver mounting errors, so I'm back to Dragonfire. Waiting for Spitfire to become the new stable.
