Ich habe eine externe DVB-S2-Box, die über USB angeschlossen wird.

Unter Dragonfire kann ich mit Kaffeine problemlos fernsehen und zwischen den Sendern hin- und herschalten. Dabei verwende ich eine AMD-Grafikkarte mit dem normalen Linuxtreiber. Jetzt habe ich Spitfire installiert, wobei ebenfalls der Standardtreiber zum Einsatz kommt:

Nach dem Start von Kaffeine sehe ich das Fernsehbild, aber beim Umschalten auf einen anderen Sender bleibt das Bild stehen, und ich muss Kaffeine neu starten. Wenn ich Kaffeine aus der Konsole starte, erhalte ich folgende Fehlermeldungen:

Hallo Kano, ist das ein reines ATI/AMD-Problem?
Ich habe Spitfire/Kaffeine eben mit einem Uralt-Mainboard mit Nvidia-Onboardgrafik getestet (GeForce 8200), und hier gibt es keine Fehlermeldungen. Würde es ausreichen, wenn ich eine Einsteiger-Grafikkarte mit Nvidia-Chip kaufe? Mir kommt es nur auf die optimale Kompatibilität mit Kanotix an; eine Highend-Karte brauche ich für Office und Internet nicht. |

| Man kann den vdpau Treiber löschen, dann ist er nicht verfügbar. Dein Problem wundert mich etwas, würde aber eher VDR/xbmc nehmen. |

Nach weiteren Tests meine ich, dass der Fehler durch die Kombination von Kaffeine und einer ATI/AMD-Grafikkarte ausgelöst wird. Denn das Problem tritt mit zwei älteren Nvidia-Grafikkarten nicht auf (GeForce 7300 und 8400GS), die aber leider zu schwachbrüstig für DVB-S2 sind. Auf meinem zweiten Rechner mit Radeon 5450 und USB-DVB-T-Adapter bekomme ich ebenfalls Fehlermeldungen, und Kaffeine stürzt beim Umschalten ab.

Hallo Kano,
Kaffeine ist übersichtlich und hat alle Funktionen, die ich brauche.
Jetzt habe ich fglrx installiert, was glücklicherweise meine veralteten Radeons noch unterstützt. Der AMD-Treiber scheint vdpau abzuschalten (so jedenfalls die Meldung von Kaffeine), und ich kann mit beiden DVB-Adaptern wieder fernsehen.
Interessanterweise hatte Kaffeine die segfault-Meldungen sogar beim Abspielen eines zuvor aufgezeichneten M2T-Streams ausgeworfen. |
