Keeping the system clock synchronized with the atomic clock

(only works with a permanent internet connection)

There is a nice little gadget I've gotten into since I realised my system clock is permanently wrong since installing linux:

simply append the line

&&ntpdate ptbtime1?.ptb.de%%

(feel free to replace the server name by any one found at
clock1b server∞ or clock2b∞ (if you're far from germany)
to your /etc/init.d/bootmisc.sh, and your machine will synchronize its internal clock with the National Metrology Institute's atomic clock. People living outside middle European time should try this clock server. Those of you running servers or other machines not being constantly powered down and restarted may want to take a look at Cron Daemon.
